This is where I am. Until Monday. I haven’t been there (Horn Island, MS) in two years, because last year’s trip was cancelled due to very rough seas. But the weather looks good this year!
I had high hopes of preparing lovely appreciative and reflective blog posts to close out the year, but it doesn’t appear that will happen. I have awards to be thankful for and pass on, I have many thoughts to share – but sadly it will have to wait. Meanwhile I’m off to be wild and precious at the beach.
I’ll tell you more when I get back. In the meantime, please enjoy a daily beach photo, and Happy New Year!
Looking forward to reading more story. Happy New Year.
Thank you! More coming soon!
That looks like the best place to ring in the new year!
It’s a very special place. Happy New Year, Barb!
Happy New Year Carla!
Thank so much! May you have a blessed and peaceful 2012!
Love the moon in the sky and then the orange-red sunshine on the beach/shrubs. Seems like a gorgeous place to ring in the new year!
Yes – I’m a lucky girl. It was a very lovely trip.
Fantastic photo!
Thank you, Theresa! 🙂
super cool! Were the bugs bad? When I camped on the beach in Pensacola a few months ago the bugs were horrible
No, they weren’t bad. I did put on some deet wandering around some lagoons in the morning, but other than that they were ok.
I think your little tent looks perfectly placed on the island. 🙂
Thanks! It was set way back from the beach, so kind of “hiding in plain sight”. I put a red bike light on the tent at night so I can find it in the dark. Helpful when the fog gets thick!
